Altera business provides high profit margin with less capital required compare to Agilent.

Agilent: Every USD1,000 invested into Agilent Share, it generates USD230 return p.a

Agilent Quarterly Result Announcement

Agilent Technologies (A +4.47% to $52.58): 2Q non GAAP EPS was $0.74 vs $0.65 expected and $0.43 a year ago. Revenues jumped 32% YoY to $1.68B. The Co sees 3Q revenue of $1.64B to $1.66B and non GAAP EPS of $0.71-$0.73 compared to $0.54 per share one year ago. The Co also raised its FY11 revenue guidance to $6.55B to $6.60B and its non GAAP EPS guidance to $2.84 to $2.88 per share.

Base Lending Rate (BLR) has been revised from 6.30%p.a. to 6.6%p.a. with effect from Thursday 12 May 2011.
